I have been contemplating on waxing away the unwanted hair in my body. I read from somewhere the benefits you could get from doing so and really, I swear! I was drooling for it since then. Although, it scared me because according to some reviews, pain is inevitable. But yesterday, I decided to get it done.
I went to this famous waxing salon, Lay-Bare. I am fortunate because they have a branch near my place. I arrived around 11a.m. and because I got there early, I have the full attention of Ms. Baby (my attendant). By the way, I didn't bring my camera along that's why no photos will accompany this post.
So, I followed all the best advice I have read from the net prior to going there and have it done. I didn't take too much caffeine, I took a pill and I cleaned myself like there's no tomorrow. xD I wore the best undies that I have and the most comfy clothes I know I have, so I won't have to worry about getting an irritation while I am on my way home.
Everything about the place was nice, organized and clean. I opted for the packaged offer since I want a total clean up. The package includes: underarm waxing, lower leg, eyebrow threading and the Brazilian wax. All that for only Php875.00 ---> WOW!
Ms. Baby waxed my armpits, lower legs and eyebrows first. I had plenty of time to observe her movements. She was really good. :D Before she started doing the Brazilian waxing process, she told me it could be painful for first timers. I prayed hard that I would be able to tolerate the pain. And... It went on. Though the pain was really there, I was surprised that it was tolerable. It was kinda intense but swift. I admit, at some point I bit my lower lip and my palms were sweaty. Whew!~
This was the craziest part.
After the waxing, just when I thought we're done, she pulled out the remaining hair with tweezers. GAWD! Hahaha But it was real quick. xDDD The whole process took almost an hour and a half, if I'm not mistaken. I also bought their Soothing Cream because I know I'll be needing it.
I love, love, love the results!~ ♥ It is totally incomparable to shaving! I'm clean, fresh and smooth all over. I feel like a baby! ^_^ All the pain is worth it!
Even my hubby was speechless! LULZ xDDD
But of course, I didn't forget about my attendant, Ms. Baby. I gave her a tip and I promised to come back. She smiled and thanked me and handed me a loyalty card. This girl is a pro and she's really sweet and polite. I want her to do it all again on my next visit. :D

OMG the Brazilian wax hahahahaha! Ironic how the waxing part was tolerable for me but WTF the tweezing really hurts!!!! >.< But it's worth it in the end and it lasts about 2-3 weeks~ plus that's really really cheap na wtf the Brazilian wax in Taft costs like 500+ T_T

ReplyDeleteIt's really worth it if it's going to last for 2-3 weeks! I mean, this is my first time so I still have to see. It's super affordable pa! I heard, at Nail-a-holics they charge 1kphp for Brazilian waxing ALONE! DUH??? Buti na lang may nakapag-share nito sa akin. ^_^

ReplyDeleteI personally don't like waxing for hair removal. I was tired of using such hair removal creams and products. Due to waxing and shaving my skin got pigmentation and pimples. A few days ago one of friends suggested me about laser hair removal and I am surprised that after using this technique hair grown has been reduced to 30 percent. I am very much satisfied with this technique.
